Waterfront Genoa

Genoa Waterfront is an urban regeneration project to transform the historically important harbour area into an iconic mixed-use development. The masterplan and building design were created by the internationally acclaimed architect Renzo Piano, whose hometown is Genoa. The scheme encompasses an exclusive residential development. The buildings are architecturally similar to ships and the large glass provides residents with a breath-taking view of the surrounding landscape. Environmental sustainability is woven into the fabric of the development as the project adheres to eco-conscious practices, avoiding the use of new plastics and incorporating energy-efficient features such as thermal capture and solar energy as well as removing pollutants from the bay, contributing to the revitalization of the area. The project also includes important public investment for the enlargement of the port (150 berths and a new water channel), a green park of 16,000 sqm, a promenade on the sea and a new road connection system.
